Why Cartegraph’s ArcGIS Specialties Are… Special

Let’s talk about flair. And no, not the 15 requisite pieces of flair that a certain actress is required to wear in one of our all-time favorite movies, “Office Space.” The kind of flair that matters when it comes to GIS-centric solutions: ArcGIS Specialties and designations.

Our friends and partners at Esri have developed a set of partner specialties to help their users find the best software and service providers to fit their needs. With the latest addition of the State and Local Government Specialty, Cartegraph now has 5 pieces of highly sought-after flair from Esri. This adds to the list of Esri Partner Specialties that Cartegraph has maintained for years, namely the Release Ready Specialty, ArcGIS Online Specialty, and ArcGIS Indoors Specialty. Cartegraph is also an approved ArcGIS Marketplace Provider.

But what does all of this mean for you? Whether you’re a current customer or thinking about becoming one, we’re glad you asked. I’m going to break down each ArcGIS Specialty and highlight why they matter for you. Ready? Let’s begin.

Release Ready Specialty

At its core, this specialty means we have extensive experience with the ArcGIS system. Our products and technology team works closely with the Esri team to stay in sync on the latest releases—ensuring that our solutions are built and maintained to work well with ArcGIS.

What does this mean for you?

We keep our solution up to date on all new releases within the ArcGIS system, so you won’t have to wait before upgrading your enterprise ArcGIS to the latest offerings. We also evaluate new capabilities with each new release, and where appropriate, make changes to leverage those new capabilities.

ArcGIS Online Specialty

One of our first specialties, our team was working with ArcGIS Online before it was cool. We recognize that our mutual clients might not always desire a full ArcGIS Enterprise deployment—either due to issues around staffing or expertise, or the simple fact that a SaaS GIS, where all the technical “care and feeding” is taken care of for you, sounds amazing.

What does this mean for you?

Our asset management software works as seamlessly with ArcGIS Online as it does with ArcGIS Enterprise, and we have the experience and track record of supporting local government in using GIS to prove it.

ArcGIS Indoors Specialty

We know Facility Management. Cartegraph knows ArcGIS Indoors. Having this specialty illustrates both of those strengths, as Esri only issues this specialty to partners who have proven expertise in indoor space mapping and management.

What does this mean for you?

Our solutions are built to manage every infrastructure asset: indoors, outdoors, above, and below ground. If you’re looking for an indoor space management or mapping solution, let’s connect. Our suite of tools and expertise will help you get more effective, efficient, and productive results from your facility operations efforts.

State and Local Government Specialty

With over 25 years of experience working with state and local government customers on asset management, work management, and overall infrastructure operations, this specialty hits close to home for our team. Esri has selectively awarded it to partners who have the expertise to develop, configure, and implement ArcGIS-friendly solutions for cities, counties, and state government agencies.

What does this mean for you?

We recognize situations where the right tool for the job might be the one marked ‘Esri’ in your toolbox — and we’ll let you know. Need to share your current maintenance work efforts via a map with your residents? Let’s make a web map. Need to provide summary data on your asset conditions, organization-wide? Might we suggest ArcGIS Dashboards? The State and Local Government Specialty lets you know that our software combines domain experience and intimate knowledge of the ArcGIS system to set you up for success.

ArcGIS Marketplace Provider

The ArcGIS Marketplace features products and services that embed and extend the capabilities of ArcGIS in a million different ways. We offer a range of infrastructure management solutions that empower you to do more with your maps and GIS data.

What does this mean for you?

You can rest easy knowing that OpenGov solutions have Esri’s stamp of approval. (Hint: This will make your GIS team very happy).

Okay, that’s enough of us talking about our flair for today. Hopefully, you found this article useful.
